Tinnitus - there can be relief
For tinnitus sufferers, the symptoms can differ quite markedly. Do you hear high pitched ringing, crickets, hissing, ocean waves or a pulsing? Sometimes the sound is made worse in a quiet room or if you're tired or stressed.

Full diagnostic testing to assess your hearing loss
It's important to have a hearing test to ascertain the amount and type of hearing loss you have, before any recommendations can be made regarding hearing aids. Part of the process is also discussing how to prevent further hearing loss.
A full diagnositic hearing test takes about an hour and starts with a chat about the symptoms of hearing loss you're experiencing. After a physical check of your ears, you sit in a soundproof booth and the hearing test is conducted. Jeanie's recommendations will be based on the results of your hearing test and on your hearing needs. If you do need a hearing aid, you will be given time to think about what is right for you. All hearing aids purchased through Kapiti Hearing can be trialled for up to eight weeks.
